"Over the past few years, I noticed a lot of people around my age have been getting braces. A few of my close girlfriends who also are patients at Accent Dental did Invisalign a few years ago and were very happy with the results. I started to think it might be something I’d like to do. People always tell my I have nice teeth but I notice the imperfections, so why not see what a difference Invisalign could make. I liked the idea that liners were removable as opposed to conventional braces.
Both myself and my spouse have Dental Plans and I wondered how much of the cost might be covered. At one of my dental appointments, I mentioned it to my dental assistant Michelle. She suggested I apply for pre-approval from my Benefit Providers and send some x-rays off to Invisalign to see if I would be an eligible candidate. On my next visit, she let me know I would eligible and what portion would be covered by my benefits. She showed an example of the computer progression from start to finish of one of their patients who had Invisalign. I was impressed but told her I would need some time to think about it.
This spring Michelle approached me to see if I’d given Invisalign anymore thought. She let me know that there were flexible payment options for the portion I would need to cover above my Benefit Provider coverage. I mentioned it to my fiancé Bill to see what he thought and he told me to go for it. I let Michelle know and so began the process. An appointment was booked for pictures, x-rays and molds." - Jody
