Dental Hygienist Position
Our licensed professionals provide exceptional treatment and care of the mouth, teeth and gums of our patients by treating the patient first.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct an initial dental assessment and consult with dentists on patient care
- Patient education of oral hygiene instruction and other dental related areas
- Review and reinforce treatment plan
- Review medical and dental history with patients
- Clean and stimulate gums to prevent gum disease
- Sub-gingival scaling, root planing, and soft tissue curretage
- Apply flouride and other cavity preventing agents to arrest dental decay
- Administer local anesthetic
- Perio and tooth charting
- Perform charting on patient's needs
- Ensure patients have up to date x-rays using digital radiography
- Provide intra-oral camera tour of patient's mouth
- Manage patient hygiene regimen
- Clean hygiene operatory, sterilize instruments, and prepare hygiene operatory for patients
- Other duties as assigned
